Baby chicks

We volunteered to watch three baby chicks that Greg's class had just hatched. Two of them, unfortunately, didn't make it (they had problems when they hatched). The one that was left was a little lonely, and Ben thought we should put a mirror in his box which he loved.

I learned, however, that I am definitely not an animal person and will not be volunteering for pet care duty in the near (or distant) future. Although they are very cute, they are messy and loud and I was worried about them the whole time they were here.

It was a learning experience for us all.
